What Formation Do Missionaries Receive?
SPIRITUS missionaries are formed as missionary disciples in a fun, loving, joyful community. Team members are formed in their relationship with God and others through a routine of prayer, spiritual direction, service, and weekly formation courses.
Encountering God
SPIRITUS missionaries are led to a deepening relationship and understanding of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. Missionaries commit themselves to the SPIRITUS prayer life and remain open to the guidance of the Holy Spirit.
Discipleship
SPIRITUS missionaries totally give themselves to Jesus to be formed as disciples through monthly spiritual direction, weekly formation courses, Marian devotions, and diving more deeply into Scripture and Catechism.
Mission
SPIRITUS missionaries lead retreats and youth ministry programming during their time of service. They learn to lead others to prayer, give inspiring witness talks and engage others into a life and commitment to Christ.
Community
SPIRITUS missionaries are joyful brothers and sisters in Christ, building up communities by engaging, serving, forgiving, welcoming and sacrificing in order to bring others to Jesus.
Conversion
SPIRITUS missionaries surrender their will to God, seek reconciliation and healing, grow in humble obedience and remain open to the Holy Spirit transforming their lives.
Intercession
SPIRITUS calls on the intercession of Mary, the Mother of Jesus for guidance and for help in loving and serving Him more completely. SPIRITUS looks to Mary as their Mother on mission with them.
SPIRITUS also turns to St. Paul, the great Christian evangelizer, to intercede in their evangelization. SPIRITUS invites you to join them daily in saying a prayer for St. Paul's intercession.
"It is necessary to
awake in believers
a full relationship
in Christ."
~ Saint Pope John Paul II
